YourLinux.co.uk Privacy Policy

YourLinux.co.uk respects the privacy of the personal information you give us, such as your name, street address, telephone number and e-mail address, and other personal information you may provide. The following policy is intended to explain how we treat this information. This policy may change, so please check back from time to time.

Traffic data
Each time a visitor comes to the YourLinux.co.uk web site, our servers collect some basic technical information, including, for example, the visitor's domain name (i.e. the ISP from which the user is logged on). We use software to keep track of traffic to our site and derive such information as the site from which the traffic originates and which particular pages within YourLinux.co.uk are being viewed. After we analyse this information, we discard it. We will not disclose this information to anyone under any circumstances.

How we secure your information
YourLinux.co.uk uses a secure server when you place orders. The secure server software (1024-bit SSL) encrypts all of the information that you input before it is sent to us, including your Name, Address, Postcode, Telephone number and E-Mail Address. In addition, we protect the customer data we collect against unauthorized access by transferring all received orders to a stand-alone machine, which is not accessible via the internet.

Credit Card Information
We never see your credit card information directly. Instead, it is passed to our handling company, WorldPay. WorldPay is one of the world's leading eCommerce solutions providers. They move the funds from your bank account into ours, so your card details never leave the 1024-bit SSL encrypted session, and never get seen by us.

Use of Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computers hard drive. YourLinux.co.uk currently does not make use of cookies.

Other Disclosure of Personal Information
YourLinux.co.uk will not otherwise disclose or make use of personal information without consent of the user except (i) as described in this privacy policy, or (ii) as required by law, court order or as requested by other government or law enforcement authority. This policy does not protect information you post to any on-line bulletin board, chat room, newsgroup or other public forum within the YourLinux.co.uk site.

Other Sites
YourLinux.co.uk may contain links to sites on the Internet operated by others. YourLinux.co.uk cannot control and is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such other web sites.

Have Any Additional Questions?
If you have any further questions or concerns about YourLinux.co.uk's privacy policies and use of personal information, please send them to [email protected].
